The concept of Learning Organisations is becoming an increasingly widespread philosophy in modern companies, from the largest multinationals to the smallest ventures.
A learning organisation is one in which the structure, culture and processes facilitate organisational learning. An organisation that facilitates the learning of all its members and continuously transforms itself. The freedom to let go of the past and try new ways in the future. Where successes and 'failures' are reviewed for their learning potential. Where individuals and departments are appraised for their learning systems as much as for their past performance.
