Initially the AFRICA TRADE CENTRE will be presented in a virtual format (Website) until we move into the new AFRICA TRADE CENTRE complex currently being designed. Here businesspeople from all over the continent and the world will have access to information, facilities, expertise and infrastructure required to trade with counterparts from across the continent. It is envisaged the AFRICA TRADE CENTRE will accommodate most of the world's foreign trade attachés serving Africa and will also provide facilities for financial and supply chain service providers. A one-stop 'shop' geared to facilitate trade throughout Africa and the rest of the world. The AFRICA TRADE CENTRE, through THE FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA, has implemented the AFRICA TRADE CENTRE / FDA TRADING PARTNER PROGRAMME, that will lead to the largest database of products and services serving Africa - from agriculture to auditors, to chemicals, to engineering and financial services, to textiles and tourism. This database will serve the AFRICA TRADE CENTRE in its daily operations. The proactive approach of the AFRICA TRADE CENTRE is clearly illustrated in the fact that the various Websites, used by the AFRICA TRADE CENTRE / FDA, to promote business development throughout Africa, are currently ranked on the front page of most international search portals when searching for "business development africa". As at 07H00 on Sunday, 22 April 2007, the following results were evident after initiating the following search requests on www.google.com "business development africa" AFRICA TRADE CENTRE / FDA Websites were ranked/rated/listed as number 1; 2; 3 and 4 - this from 124,000,000 (124 Million) WebPages "investment opportunities africa" AFRICA TRADE CENTRE / FDA Websites were ranked/rated/listed as number 1 and 2 - this from 4,800,000 (4,8 Million) WebPages "business opportunities africa" AFRICA TRADE CENTRE / FDA Websites were ranked/rated/listed as number 1 - this from 33,300,000 (33,3 Million) WebPages "support africa" AFRICA TRADE CENTRE / FDA Websites were ranked/rated/listed as number 1; 2; 6 and 7 - this from 205,000,000 (205 Million) WebPages In 2006 the AFRICA TRADE CENTRE / FDA Websites enjoyed on average 320 'First Time Visitors' every day while averaging some 3200 'Hits per Day' per day - impressive! THE FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA (FDA) will now be incorporated as part of the AFRICA TRADE CENTRE (Pty) Ltd's corporate social investment programme and therefore continue to deliver on all the current services and networking initiatives to-date. The third leg of the AFRICA TRADE CENTRE (Pty) Ltd's 'Triple Bottom Line' will be concluded through the introduction of the Africa Trade Centre Environmental Programme, to be appropriately named later. Africa must take hands and unite in her efforts - Africa will succeed!
